During the rotation of the product exhaust air and supply air flow through the voids between flat and corrugated fins of the exchanger and the heat and/or energy transfer occurs.
In our product range there are sensible(condensation) and total energy (sorption) types.
In condensation type, there is only heat transfer between two air streams and humidity transfer only occurs in winter conditions due to condensation.
In sorption type, there is heat and also energy (humidity) transfer between two air streams in both summer and winter conditions.
High efficiencies, close distance between two air streams, low contamination rates and moving parts are general properties of rotary heat recovery exchangers. Technical properties like heat and energy recovery, humidity transfer, efficiency, pressure drops, flow rates, freezing risk in winter conditions are calculated with a high precision software which is developed specially for this purpose in our company.
In condensation types, exhaust air humidity condense on the fins surface in winter conditions. This situation may cause ice formation so freezing should be avoided to prevent decreasing in energy efficiency and damage in the heat exchanger. Even if the risk is less in sorption types, it should be considered.
As standard rotor internal length is 200 mm, wave height of corrugations are 1,7 mm and 2,1 mm. Upon request, products with different internal lenght (250 mm) and wave height (2,5 mm) can be manufactured.
In condensation types, aluminum fins are standard. Upon request industrial pre-coated epoxy and hydrophilic fins can be used. In sorption types, fins are aluminum adsorbent-coated. Frames and covers are manufactured from galvanized sheet metal or aluzinc upon request. Products are manufactured without purge sector as standard, upon request purge sector can be added. Nominal rotation speed is 12rpm for condensation type and 18rpm for sorption type. As standard 230V 1Ph 50Hz motor is used, upon request 400V 3ph 50Hz and different type of motors can be added to the system.

Minimizing the air leakage in rotary heat exchangers is important issue and sealing systems are used for air tightness. Brush are very efficient in sealing systems. They are reliable, durable and easily replaceable. The position of the brush can be adjustable with screws. Brush sealing systems are using on the rotor perimeter and through the central beam of our products.
